Noventa y tres es la Ășltima novela de Victor Hugo. Publicada en 1874, estĂĄ ambientada en una de las fases mĂĄs terribles de la RevoluciĂłn Francesa: el Terror en 1793. Hugo tenĂa la intenciĂłn de realizar una trilogĂa novelesca dedicada a la RevoluciĂłn, de la que Ă©sta serĂa el primer volumen. Sin embargo, no pudo terminar su proyecto. Noventa y tres representa su oportunidad de exponer los frutos de su profunda reflexiĂłn sobre los hechos revolucionarios y la legitimidad de la RevoluciĂłn, a la vez que hacĂa referencia a la Comuna de ParĂs de 1871.
